OC3 Lines for when T1 Bandwidth is not Enough

T1 has been around a long time, being used for basic phone lines back in the old days before internet and newer data applications. Sometimes when I talk about "T1" I could be referring to something else as T1 could just be a general term for business broadband and bandwidth options.

When it comes to bandwidth for voice and internet services we could be talking about VOIP, DSL, T1, T3, or even OC3. When T1 is not enough bandwidth for your business, OC3 might be an option worth looking at.

OC3 provides a lot of bandwidth, something around 80 T1 lines worth, and can accommodate several hundred phone lines.

That said OC3 lines are most useful for internal networking rather than just massive outside connections.
